A capsule factory is established in Sungurlu OSB

MKE A.S. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Global Gunpowder, Nitroglycerin and Nitrocellulose, Capsule and Cartridge Production Facilities, worth 6 billion TL, in the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in the Sungurlu district of Çorum.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, Deputy Minister of National Defense Muhsin Dere, MKE AŞ. General Manager Yasin Akdere, District Governor of Sungurlu Fatih Görmüş, representatives of political parties, heads of chambers, headmen and many citizens attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank said, “In fact, the foundations of 5 factories will be laid today in Sungurlu. Gunpowder Factory, the raw material of gunpowder Nitroglycerin Factory and Nitrocellulose Factory, Cartridge Factory and Capsule Factory. It is the first Defense Industry investment in Turkey with an investment amount of 6 billion, the foundation of which was laid at once.”
